Very Moving. Sad, however a respectful Memorial to visit!

Seldom visited, a bit of a walk, but well worth remembering those in the Pentegon and on the plane! Benches designed for a period of reflection and remeberence!

I wasn't aware that this memorial was located at the Pentagon. It is so impressive and peaceful though. Each bench is dedicated to someone either on the plane or in the building that died during the horrific attack. The positioning of the benches is indicative to where the person was when they passed. Some face the Pentagon, they were on... More

So glad I got to see this Memorial. It was so quiet. Everyone viewing this Memorial just walked around in silence. Very emotional to see all the people that were victim to that terrible, terrible terrorist act on (9-11-2001) There were no tour buses or shuttles that took us to this Memorial, so we just called an Uber. Taking the... More

Very well done memorial for the Pentagon 9/11 victims. Be sure to get the phone number for audio tour. (202) 741-1004. Audio provides good information about the memorial otherwise would have not known.

I live in the area and have seen it before while traveling via metro. However, wanted to show my out of town guest and we were driving. Saw on TA that parking is available via Hayes Street. Followed signs to the memorial and parking was either full or blocked. It is Tuesday but still very disappointing.

The memorial is a beautiful tribute to those who were killed on 9/11. It seems that every little detail in the design and planning of the memorial has significance (for example, the benches all face the direction from which the aircraft approached the Pentagon). Take the time to quietly learn about the memorial and reflect on one of the benches.... More

This was a powerful memorial. Simple yet poignant design with each plinth facing toward the Pentagon for those who were on the plan and away for those who were in the building. Age by age strips of individual memorials for every lost life and a simple inscription on each with running water and lighting as a means of making this... More

The Pentagon Memorial is well planned and designed memorial to those who perished on 9/11. With "benches" that look like wings, facing toward or away from the Pentagon building, it honors the crew, the passengers and employees that died that day.

We visited this memorial in the morning (some people say it is more impressive at night...)- still looks great. Worth spending time while in DC.
