I know there is no right or wrong for a memorial but I just didn't get this at all. That is only my opinion and it was a quiet and respectful place.

The seats are arranged by birth year of the deceased and below each seat is a reflection pool. Very well done and a beautiful tribute and memorial.

I hadn’t actually planned on visiting this and had forgotten the Memorial was there, but I decided to stop at the Pentagon on my Metro ride to the airport. The Metro station is right next to the Pentagon and the Memorial is just on the...More

The simplicity of the design embodies the concept of "less is more." Such a simple design, and so moving. The design identifies people who were in the Pentagon vs those who were on the plane. It is designed for reflection and appreciation.

We didn't know this was even here. When we got there it was kind of unreal. Someone put a lot thought into this memorial.

I didn't 'get it' when we first arrived at the site. But once I googled it and learned about the meaning the artist integrated into every aspect of the memorial, it all made a lot of sense and was quite impressive. Worth a stop. Very...More

I visited the Pentagon Memorial at the end of a week-long business trip, and it provided a chance to reflect not only on what happened on 9/11, but also helps re-calibrate personal and professional priorities. There is no entrance fee, and you will benefit from...More

The Pentagon Memorial is beautiful, unique, and special. Read about it ahead of time so that you understand the meaning behind the design. It is peaceful and lovely! We visited at 9 p.m., and you could still access it.

The easiest way is to get onto the Metro (if I remember correctly, there’s a blue line right there at that hotel) and get off at the Pentagon stop. From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon... More
