The Marine Corps Marathon ran thru this park. It was cool with a slight breeze coming off the water. The views were nice and it was pleasant to see the boats and activity on the waterfront.

As a long-time Arlington resident, I've long been acquainted with Potomac Overlook Regional Park, a fairly extensive range of forests and tributaries emptying into the Potomac Rive from North Arlington. In the past, I've used it as a hiking and training ground for Boy Scouts, and in more recent times, just as a place to do some birding and enjoy... More

This is a very pretty park with short, well maintained trails. Yes the overlook is closed. You really cant see anything. But the trails are great and they seem to have alot to offer overall.

This park is popular with walkers and dog owners. There really isn't much "there" there, and, contrary to what the name of the park might suggest, there is no longer access to the Potomac River overlook area. Facility has a small visitor center, not much parking, and a few woodsy trails. I do like the owls and other birds of prey... More

ok, sure, part of the loop is Military Rd & Pollard St- but the sidewalk / street part makes up only about a quarter of the hike, and that way you avoid the out and back. And other reviewers noted that trees obscure the view; well, go in the winter and early spring, and there are plenty of views! I... More

Very nice views and relaxing to take a walk or run. Peaceful to visit and lots of ducks around to see.

It may not be a great deal to some people but for me that was my first close encounter with two beavers. I have always admired beavers so seeing them in action, when I know that many of my Uncle's neighbors don't really like them because of the damage they may cause to some, was a great experience. So thank... More

There is even a sign noting that there is nothing to overlook. No point in coming here, although it is a convenient point to start a hike along the Potomac.

This scenic overlook park is nicely situated beside the Potomac, and it's a romantic place to hike and take in the nature around yourself. I loved that we discovered it for ourselves in the fall!
