Nice state park with great overlook of the gorge (of the New River). Trails are well maintained. The lodge looks nice but the restaurant is closed now for construction.

We were there just before a wedding was to take place at this site. A very quiet park with a short walking trail and great views of the gorge. Nice small gift shop with clean restrooms.

This place is amazing I enjoyed the state park and the gift stores. The drive up the mountain was beautiful. I really enjoyed the drive and being able to experience the beauty of the mountain.

Made a brief stop and took the small paved trail to the overlook. Very beautiful. The facilities are well maintained. There's a lot more to it but what I saw was enjoyable.

If you're in the area this is a must see. From the Mystery Hole to the Lodge and everywhere between there are some beautiful views and cool places. Be sure to take the aerial tramway down to the river from the lodge.

The views are ok, just average. The tram ride is very short and not a lot to see. Nothing to do at the bottom. The jet boat is about 20 to 30 minutes up the river and back. You will see the New River Gorge...More
