Always a hit with the kids
Mar 2019
This place is great value! We live in Nagoya and it's always worth the trip to Hamamatsu to visit here. The kids love the free "train" (that's actually a bus that looks like a train) that goes around the park. This time we went strawberry picking. They were very yummy but it's a bit pricey. The playground is so fun and I always have to tear the kids away from it as they never want to stop playing there!

Fruit picking - but not able to bring home
Apr 2017 • Family
Stopped here for lunch, not much options, and had some o-k pizza and pasta. Relatively inaccessible unless you had a car.

The park was split into two areas. The food area had a nice huge playground for the kids to run about. I would say to travel here for the playground alone was pretty good.

What marred the experience was the fruit farm area was all across the highway, so you had to cross a long overhead pass all the way to the other end, and either walk pretty far and upslope or wait for a train that came every half an hour. We waited and took the train all the way to the strawberry area as only it was in season, hoping to pick some strawberries home. But when we reached there, you could pick for 1100 yen and stay inside and eat for 30 minutes. But could not take any out. (Vs. just buying a pack of strawberries for 300-400 yen). Unless you are really really into picking fruits, this doesn't make sense to me. The ultimate straw was we were stranded for 30 minutes waiting for the train to return. Terrible terrible mistake to go to the fruit farm.

If you really must stop here, suggest avoid going to the fruit area especially in off peak season.

Fruit-picking experience
Jun 2014 • Friends
We have a fun time of fruit-picking at this park. We plucked cherries, peaches, etc. One of the staff were very friendly and showed us some of the fruits in the green house like the 'big' purple grapes, pear (not yet ripe) and walked around to see the blueberry, kiwi and plum fruit trees. It was fun too.

Want to try fruit picking?
Jan 2014 • Family
This park is attractive to people who have not experienced actual fruit picking from the tree. Myself for instance have eaten apple since time immemorial but it's my first time to see an apple tree since it does not exist in my tropical home country. And there are more variety of fruit trees to see.
