We went to the beach at around 7am and it was totally empty, save for a few local fishermen off towards the bridge. It began to fill up with surfers as the morning progressed. It's a nice place to sit and look out over the...More

Incredible to see all of the wind surfers out on the water. The beach is busy, the locals definitely take advantage. Not a lot of restaurants lining the beach like you might think in the USA. Definitely worth a walk down the beach. I caught...More

Came here on a warm spring day. Enjoyed watching people collect shells and paddle board. I’m sure the surf is better in other months. Free toilets at different points which is handy. I don’t recommend taking a picnic. Many people got swooped down upon by...More

Loved this place, the bronze Buddha is a must see, absolutely beautiful, and the settings are fabulous. Loved the walk through from the train station, lots of lovely places to look inand some lovely food available too.

Saw lots of people in wet suits riding waves and sailboards. It was a very busy Sunday and the beach seaside was very long and lovely. It seemed to go on forever. Many families had picnics on the beach.

Alight from the Kamakurakoko-mae Station E08. Across from the station you can see nice view of the beach and even with Mount Fuji in sight.

Kamakura is a wonderful city but the beach isn't very impressive. The water isn't that clean and the shower is so far from the beach. It's beautiful though. I don't think it's a must-go but it would also be a good experience if you choose...More

The beach as a bad rap from everyone and it isn't great. Locals say swim with your mouth closed which is what I did. But if you are hot, tired and just want to swim to cool down this is an easy escape from the...More
