The view was beautiful from the outside and the location was within walking distance from the city. Unfortunately I did not have time to come inside.

I love the place, it is full of history however for non Japanese speaker, you do not enjoy 100% because some of the area does not have any english but still recommend to visit.

Kokura castle is a reconstructed castle with a cool museum in it. You can explore the castle and IT IS AWESOME! you can try being a daimyo for a day there. It has some english explanation in it but needs more of it!

Beautifully planned n architecturally sound castle. Great historical background n one can just imagine the views back when it was first built back some 600 years ago. Smart!

The main keep is a concrete re-construction surrounded by modern commercial buildings and shopping malls. So you may see a beautiful reflection of the castle on a glass-wall building on a sunny day. Around 10-15 walk from the JR station. Photos are ALLOWED in the...More

Kokura castle is a nice place which has explained the history of the castle and their Japanese culture with dramas. It's very convenient and interesting place for a foreigner. I wish I could have spent more time there
