We were there on April 28, took the train and then bus from Aomori, stood all the way due to the crowds, and it was totally worth it. The whole bus let out a big "wow" when we arrived, because the scene was something to behold. The cherry trees of different colors were in full bloom, and it was just... More

We visited this park and castle during a cruise day stop in Aomori. We took the train from the station and arrived in Hirosaki after about an hour. There are two types of train, express limited and local. Either one will do although the express has seats you can reserve if you want to avoid the crush when many of... More

Visited Hirosaki park on May 2, sakura cherry trees start falling and created another beautiful scene. The river and walking path were partly pink away. The wind starts blowing away the petals. Beautiful sight and still attractive.

We visited on 29Apr 8pm and it was by chance a FULL bloom with night light up. Exceptionally beautiful feeling and weather was nice as well. We slowly walk thru and had our dinner/snack combine at the road side stall that make the stall holder so happy as plenty of food we order. Lovely nice weather with nice lighting view... More

We have again visited the Park by end April this year and found that the cherry trees were all in full bloom. You would definitely be caught to take photos right at the front gate in front of the moat. There were many visitors inside the park but the environment was still enjoyable. Travel to the park should be easy... More

Spent Monday 4/24/17 here. Slight admission charge but well worth it. Moats, Castle, Grounds, Shrine. Everything is here. Hard to find a parking place near this place. Especially during the festival week. Like stepping back in time. So much to see and such wonderful views of the mountains and structures. Lots of walking. Very clean. Very friendly people. Many food... More

I visited the park during sakura cherry blossom time. The scenery is simply spectacular. Rows, rows, and rows of sakura trees are all over the place. The park was previously a castle, which has two moats. The outer one surrounds the castle, now the park. Sakura petals have fallen onto the moat, forming a pink carpet over the water, moving... Absolutely breathtaking even better than I had hoped. Train from Aomori was packed reserve a seat for the 9.05. Better yet stay in Hirosaki and enjoy the lights at night. I couldn't raise the energy to train back for the evening. Wish I had now. No going back .

Amazing place to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossom! 弘前車站前有100日元公車接送到弘前公園,小雨中我們搭乘小舟賞櫻,有日語解說,船夫還會高歌ㄧ曲,別有風情!若可行,安排住宿弘前市,留下來賞夜櫻會更好!

We came here and it simply amazing. Don't really need to say much more than check out the photos. Walk around the park, sit and eat and we were able to enjoy the sun!
