My husband and I visited the Centro Historico whilst on our honeymoon and its definitely an interesting place. Alot of history to be discovered with good foods, entertaining dance and unusual stalls. Definitely recommend to visit the museum and church whilst here.
It was great to get a glimpse of the early history of Brazil. We had a guide and it is worth it to really appreciate the history of the place. There are old churches, houses and a prison. The view is really nice as well.
