This is an historical spot in Salvador. It has been through a lot of ups and downs but it is still a place everyone who comes to Salvador must see. Do not miss it

You must visit this square if you are in Salvador and not only because M Jackson filmed his video there. The only suggestion is to go during the day and not night. other than that the architecture is great - it is definitely something different...More

It is important to walk along the main streets of Pelourinho, where we have a more effective policing, as this center receives a large flow of visitors from various cities and nationalities. Salvador remains an attractive tourist destination! Ass.: Prefeitura Municipal do Salvador.

The upper City of Salvador is nice - no Wonder It is a UNESCO heritage. But it is far too touristic. No "real life" Charme. I would have preferred to just visit it one day and not also stay there.More

Lively historic area with great restaurants and bars. A slightly edgy feel (kept at bay by the strong police presence) makes it all the more interesting to the seasoned traveller. Great live music at night.
