A very small museum with several interesting art and history exhibits. Most of the information (maybe all?) is in Portuguese.

By far, the most intersting museum in Salvador, with a great paintings exhibition and also background history and artifacts on the slave trade. The star of the show are the breathtaking Orixás wood panels.

It is part of the Federal University of Bahia It is located in the old school of medicine of the university Excellent Carybe wood panels
