We went in out of curiosity as I'd read some of Amado's works in the past. It is a collection of letters and photos and tributes to his writings. It's well done. Oh, and there's a small café inside.

Not worth going inside. Case de Jorge Amado makes for a nice photo-op in front of it but the museum itself only has a bunch of posters of movie adaptations of Amado's books. If you really want to find out more about the famous author,...More

The museum I feel has more potential considering the importance of Jorge Amado. However not a lot of real interest. Still, is right in Pelourinho Square, and worth a 15-20 minute visit if you are there, but perhaps not worth making a special trip.

very well situated on the Pelourinho square, this house had never been lived by J. Amado. There is a poor display of objects an books. It is worth only because of the nice views from its windows!
