I was told this is the most beautiful beach near Trancoso. So we made a treacherous drive out here for over an hour on a non paved road. It is like a roller coaster ride, every other meter there is one if not more pot hole. Then when you get here, you have to pay 20 Reais to park and... More

Espelho (Mirror) Beach is close to Trancoso by car - 1 hour. The view and the water are fantastic. Also there is a red house on the right side of a river that serves Japanese food. It's a very small place and the meal was great. The name is Sushi da Mel. You'll be able to have Japanese food in... More

we walked from trancoso which is full of trendy beach bars to the more quiet beaches towards caraiva. we hung our hammock in one of the trees on the beach and stayed there all day long. as with all northern beaches, if the tide is in the water currents become very strong, so watch out.

We had just spent 3 days in Trancoso and decided to stop at Praia do Espelho on the way to Caraiva. It was a very scenic drive on dirt roads. It had not rained in the area in a while so the roads were very dry and dusty. Arriving at Praia do Espelho we parked in the upper parking lot... More

one of the most beautiful place in earth ,the beach was very clean and peaceful, the restaurant " ouribar " has a excellent food and drinks, the manager of the place "Claudio Vieira " was very friendly and helpful with us. The fish was great and the price spicy, but worth it

Worth the drive down the unmade roads south of Transcoso. Some small restaurants on the beach to be able to make a full days visit. Worth walking north along the beach and around the headland to another big bay. Quiet and peaceful with lovely clear water and no one else really there.

The beach was kind of a let down. HOWEVER... We did the trek to Praia do Espelho from Caraiva. This is HIGHLY recommended. People at our hotel told us it was a 9km walk on the beach... I think it might be more, and it's not all on the beach (you have to go up one of the "morros") but... More

Its about 1 hour by car on an unmade road to get here from Transcoso. The beach is not great, plenty of rocky areas and rock pools, noisy restaurants, quite busy on weekends. Silvanhas beach place is good for lunch but reserve ahead, and you only get 1 hour for your food etc. Better off staying in Transcocs.

Hard access? Yes... but no worries to drive. Make sure that it hasn´t rained a few days before or it is raining, than the access is hard. The parking log is charged (around R$ 20 per car) and the access to the beach is by stairs... The "barracas" (restaurants by the beach) charge a minimum per person, but the price... More
