If you visit Brazil, be sure to visit this place. It is Brazil's only fjord. The Saco do Mamangua is peppered with secluded beaches and is surrounded by the South Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlantica). It is so so beautiful!

I spent few days in this area with my friend on the boat. Nice, clean and warm Atlantic ocean, jungle, mountains .. and no people everywhere. Beutiful experience and perfect nature close to Rio de Janeiro.
It's hard to describe this location. When I think of beaches, it envision sand, waves, people, etc. Here you see forest, calm water (as it's like a fjord) and desert places. It's one of a kind, for sure.
