Rio was a great destination and a few key words comes to mind: 1.English: if you are planning a trip to RIO, don't live under any illusion that you will be understood when speaking English, as NO ONE in Rio understands ANY English. Nobody straight from the shop attendants, taxi drivers, pharmacists, tourist information attendees, waiters - no one will... More

We sat by Posto 9 after a wonderful lunch. People are packed in cheek to cheek - it is super crowded on a weekend which made it that much more fun. There are lots of beautiful people on the beach, the water is great and the views incomparable. If you like beaches, this is one to visit!

I suggest going at sunset for a beautiful view, pictures can't even do it justice. One of my favorite places to visit in the city!

This beach is virtually a continuation of the Copacabana running as far as Leblon. It is just as beautiful, a bit more pricey. It is distinguished by a different pattern in the sidewalk.

Many beaches from Major beaches South to North; 1. Sao Conrado 2. Vidigal 3. Ipanema 4. Copacabana 5. Prala Vermeli 6. Prala de Fora 7. Prala de Botafago 8. Prala do Flengo No major ones past the airport or port. Water generally the same, boardwalk busier on Copacabana, but water pumps for city water at Copacabana, it all depends on... More

No wonder this beach is so famous . It is a wide stretch of perfect white sand, huge waves all protected and nestled into a bay. It is spectacular. The landscape is completed bu cone shaped mountains along the coast with red roofed housed splling down the their cliffs. This was a perfect place for us to stroll and rest.... More

Constantly passing drinks, food and souvenirs sellers, so if you need something you don't have to go anywhere. There is "baracas" that rent you a chair and umbrella for all day. They also sell drinks and keep an eye on your staff.... More

Kilometers of white sand beaches ... loads of choice of where to sit ... many baraccas offering chairs and umbrellas and caipirinhas, etc. one of the best beaches to relax , swim, suntan and chill.
