Amazing tour/trekking options. Forest. Mountain. Waterfalls. Wild animals . Breathtaking views !!! They even have planned overnight tours where you can sleep on tents.

Stunning place to hike, beautiful landscapes and nice weather.
The trail is hard during 3 days, but one of the most lovely views that I've taken.

Awesome views nearly everywhere you look. Great rock formations and waterfalls. Roads are very windy, so be careful if you suffer from motion sickness.

We had hoped to make the Traverso, but Kathy was down for a day. But with help of Superguide Henrique Silva, we made it up and down the mountain. On top for sunset, on top for sunrise the next morning. If you can backpack, consider doing the two-day trip if you can't hike the whole Traverso.

During summer: nice waterfall at Poço Dois Irmãos.
Some things to be considered: there are few closed tracks and be careful with accessible needs. They do allow you to bring your car up high but to get near the waterfall is a 10min hill forest track. They have bathrooms and during thw week is cheaper.
Along the winter is too cold to swim still a beautiful place to have a picnic.

We got a bit unlucky with the weather (very foggy) but even from the roadside, the view is spectacular! The mountain range with its infamous peaks & right next to it the valley with views to the ocean - loved it! Will be back to do the proper hike, even though the view can also be enjoyed without any exercise

The Serra dos Órgãos National Park is a great area full of tracks between trees allowing to get to places which give us amazing views of natural environments. Worthy place!

This is one of the most beautiful National Park nearby Rio. It stretches along of Organ's Range from Petropolis to Teresopolis. The park has several trails into the tropical forest crossing several mountains, leading to outstanding scenery.
However the lack of infrastructure along with lack of maintenance spoil the opportunity to be one of the greatest place for hikers in Rio de Janeiro State.
