This place is high on a mountain in the clouds. The climate only allows for certain flowers to flourish here. The atmosphere was wonderful and they sell a honey that only the indigenous bees on this mountain can produce. It apparently has some medicinal qualities unknown to tourists. The rumor is that there are healing properties in it. The flowers were beautiful and the ship had excellent espressos and cafe.

Arabotanica is small shop with exhibition. Very large diversity of flowers. Great to spend 1hour if you admire nature. If you are looking for walk in the neighborhood of Quebra Frasco: You may also walk outside on the road upwards. There is place named Sitio Assunçao about 1 km upwards - it is run by catholic church and there are masses on Sat at 16h and Sundays at 10am.

It's a bit small place but the orchids are really beautiful so worth the visit. If you do not want to buy a plant, you will spend max 30min. And it's totally free.

The restaurant is great. Mr. Paulo takes care of everybody and serve home made breakfast. All workers are very polite and always attend my requests. Very calm, clean and space bedrooms.

They have nice exposition of orchids in bloom, but the prices for orchids there are the highest in the town. Moreover they have lack of information - even on the road it's not easy to find the right way to get there.

teresópolis is a town in the mountain region of the State of Rio, about 1:30 drive away. This orchidário is a small area, and by no means pay for a trip there if you are not in the region. Wanna see orchids in Rio? Go to the Botanic Garden

Simples! Ao final da estrada Friburgo-Teresópolis passar por baixo do viaduto e seguir em frente , sem virar a esquerda direção centro da cidade. Vai passar pelo campus da universidade e pelo cemitério. No último sinal, a esquerda terá a concessionária da Renault, vire a esquerda e siga em frente direto. Logo após a Hotel Alpina tem uma cabine da polícia, vire a esquerda e mais 500 metros vai chegar lá. Boa sorte e bom programa!!!

Temos estacionamento para 30 veículos caso venha de carro. Se preferir táxi, segue o número de um ponto que recomendamos 2643-2470 ou se preferir o transporte público, procure no google por viação dedo de deus, itinerários, linha Morro do Tiro x Quebra Frascos a resposta por aqui não permite link...
Lembrando que o itinerário de partida, é com saída do ônibus do bairro do "Morro do Tiro".

Boa tarde! Gostaria que fosse atualizado o telefone do Orquidário Aranda, pois o que consta não mais atende ao estabelecimento. Fiz várias tentativas e o proprietário da linha disse já ter feito várias solicitações para que o número do telefone fosse corrigido no próprio site do orquidário. Grata.

Além das orquídeas campeãs nas exposições de referência no Brasil, dispõe para o público uma grande variedade de plantas ornamentais. Tem também o Passeio das Flores, que é uma caminhada ecológica de 350 metros pela mata atlântica; o Pavilhão de Exposição com mostra das orquídeas premiadas, com plantas ornamentais de toda parte do mundo, ambientadas com um paisagismo ímpar, criado por Roberto Agnes, somado ao mobiliário sustentável, de madeira de demolição, assinado pelo designer Felicio Jordane.
