I was impressed that market has an organic meats and produce section. I had to go there for my exotic tropical fruits and for the Peruvian parsnips known as batatas baroas or batatas salsas. And this market has it all for reasonable prices.

Good place to go in Campinas if you are a fan of disserent and cheap spices and nuts! The market itself is also very well taken care and its part of Campinas history. It is really worth a visit and the prices are pretty cheap too.

This place was inaugurated a little more than one century ago and it is a kind of "cult" place in the city. It worth a visit to see more than a grocery store.

For the majority people from Campinas this is the right place to go for shopping for some specific kinds of food and Brazilian flavors and local spices. Inside you will find... More

His market, has reached its centennial year in 2008. Designed by the famous architect Ramos de Azevedo, is the oldest "mall" in town. There you can find ingredients for the traditional feijoada as well as other not so usual items.

This market has tons of fresh food and every type of spice you can imagine. It's the largest market in town like this and a definite stop for any tourists.

The Mercadão is a lovelu place to stroll in the otherwise depleted Campinas dowtown. Here you can find ingredientes for a feijoada, excelent cachaças and good coffee. A must-go.
