We visited this zoo during the Brazilian winter months. It is a little place but worth the stop. They have several animals from South America. Displays and plants to see in a lot of variety. Cost $5 real and 12 and under are free

A small Garden within the city with a strong atmosphere of tranquility among the animals! Macaws and Parrots can make your eyes gleam; they are beautiful, you can look at them closely! A calmness aura among a piece of Brazil's Fauna and Flora! Turtles and Fishes makes the natural beauty even better!

Amazingly beautiful! Simply of one the best urban places to watch flowers and animals I've ever been, and for a very affordable price! One of Santos' assets for decades.

Visiting this place has given me lots of insight into the beautiful Flora and Fauna of Brazil. The gardens had descriptions on each plant, both in Portuguese and English. Amazing to see the cocao and coffee trees. There was also a mini zoo that had exotic birds such as the Toucan, Arara's and Peacocks. There was also an Orchid house... More

The gardens and mini zoo in the centre of Santos city is a nice little retreat from the city hustle and bustle. We got there late in the afternoon when it was cold an d shady and I was a bit disappointed. There were very few orchids but the people were very friendly.

What this really is is a small park with a few animals and maybe an orchid or 2 if you happen to be there during their blooming time. It you happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by, but it isn't something to go,out of your way to see.

We have been to many beautiful botanical gardens but this one doesn't measure up - am stretching to give it an "average". First, there were few orchids and those that were there were in sad shape. The other plants were ok but there were few signs identifying them. There were an abundance of some large rodent that was a cross... More

During our visit to this small garden and mini-zoo we were disappointed that the orchids were not blooming (February 2015) and several of the animal enclosures were closed or absent an animal. The elevated walk through tropical forest was closed for reason unknown. Parking is okay in the area and the entrance fee is inexpensive but I would recommend this... More

Beatifull , a reAl romantic garden from forties , magnific schulpture Naiade ( Ferri's) , but partially abandoned... That's the result of state ownership, and lack of private enterprise ... Few orchids ...

We were very dissapointed in the gardens. It was nice to have an oasis in the middle of the city, but went there especially to see orchids. We have more orchids at the grocery store in our town than we saw there. There are a few caged animals and some large rodents walking around.

Thank captain-CS
