It is nice to spend one or two hours in Museu do Futebol, mainly if you speak Portuguese and like soccer. It is better to go on weekdays, so you can beat the "traffic jam". Nice and modern museum with some nice stories about Brazilian soccer history. I love the OLD photographs!!!

Trying out some different places in São Paulo than the ones I'm used to. Great opportunity to learn a little bit more about Brazilian history

All very interesting...especially the silence in the booth showing the keepers mistake in the 1950 WC final at the maracana...I can still feel the tension!

My husband and I went to the museum on a Saturday afternoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been living in Sao Paulo for about two months, and I wanted to learn more about this sport that Brazilians absolutely love. The museum was interactive and provided a great background on the icons of the game, sport overview, and World... More

Definitely a different kind of museum. I hate football, but enjoyed this place. Went with my mom and spent the whole evening.

Museum inside Pacaembú Stadium. It is a municipal stuff, it does not belong to any club. Any club can play there. The exhibit is quite nice with lot many historical items, photos and interactive stuff. Good for football/soccer lovers.

Staying in Pacaembu

Neighbourhood Profile
Pacaembu
Highlights of this neighbourhood include Pacaembu Stadium and the Museum of Soccer, but they are not the only attractions it offers. Street markets are part of São Paulo’s culture, and at Charles Miller Square you will find one of the city's best. Arrive early to be delighted by fresh fruits, vegetables, coconut water and “pastel”, fried dough filled with innumerable options including cheese, meat, and shrimp. If you are into architecture, don’t miss Casa Modernista and Casa Buarque de Holanda, two historic houses. The small residential streets along Pacaembu offer quiet refuge from the chaotic traffic.
