I visited Borovets in Autumn there was no snow but the place was beautiful. You could walk around the mountain and enjoy the nature!

A group of 4 of us flew out to Borovets in January. 2 were first time skiers and 2 had skied before. We went with Neilson - who have now sadly dropped Borovets as a location. Had an absolute blast. We all did ski school...More

I enjoyed skiing in Borovets! Unfortunately half of the slopes were closed as I visited it at the end of the season and the snow quality was poor.

I had only been skiing once before Borovets. I found the slopes great for beginners as it's cheap to get one on one lessons and a lot of the slopes up the mountain are appropriate for skiers without much experience. My partner who is a...More

Hiya, was just wondering what the snow is generally like towards late December, early January? I know you can never guarantee it, I have only ever been to Borovets February and March.

I haven't either but have been told it's good 😊
I'm looking to book for winter 2018. Is the first week of January too early to ski in terms of snow?

I've only been skiing in France previously & was looking for a cheap late season trip this year. I booked Borovets for April 21 without thinking whether the lifts would still be open at that time. Does anyone know?

I reckon you'll be on grass by April, the season officially ends just before Easter. If you want a late season ski, try Sölden in Austria - season runs till mid May.
