Though range of treks can be limited by the local political climate, this is a great town to explore inside and out. Hire a guide and head out to the local villages for great food as well as visits with warm and welcoming people. Local foods are the way to go here as you're a little further down the road... More

The time we came here was so dried & hot. When we were walking through cultivating area, I felt I am walking in the middle of desert. Our guide said best time to come July to February. Other side, it was nice experience. We went through tribe village. Native people were so friendly & nice. We stayed one night at... More

We stayed Hsipaw for two nights and hiked during one more. This is quite a basic town, don't expect a lot of restaurants and other facilities. There's a couple of nice places to go for dinner and a few good accommodations. Hiking from this town is a absolute must do! If it were not for..... The only, big, very, very,... More

On our first day we went on a trek of about three hours to the waterfall and on the second day we took a boat trip up to the confluence of the Duhtawadi River. Our guide took us to a rice noodle factory before crossing farmland until we reached the waterfall. On coming down from the waterfall we had some... More

We were very happy with our stay at Golden Guest. A new hotel in the center of town, a side street to the main street which is much noisier. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The head receptionist was proffecional and made us feel welcome, she tried to teach us some Shan expressions. The owner, her husband and son... More

We spent only one day and a half in Hsipaw and saw a lot of beautiful things. We arrived early in the morning (about 6am) with the bus from Nyaung shwe (16000 kyat) and went to the morning market after we dropped our bags at the guesthouse. There is also a lovely walkway at the river. After that we walked... More

Hsipaw is a great place who love nature. About 45 mins boat ride to Chaung Sone is the best place to take photos and enjoy the beauty of nature. Clean water, water fall and panoramic view feel that you are in Paradise.

I don't know exactly you to describe Hispaw but it's honestly a magical place. It's a very quiet town with a lot of sightseeings and history to offer. I really recomend a visit to Mr Book...buy a book ( you'll understand why over there!!!), learn with him and help as much as you can. To learn a litle bit more... More

First thing's first, can I please just say that Tun Tun (Myanmar HP number 09977681700) gave us the most incredible experience hiking around the beautiful mountains of the Hsipaw region. If you are looking for a trekking guide in Hsipaw, call Tun Tun. Looking back on our journey, the hike with him was definitely THE highlight of all our time... More
