Have never seen anything like this. The bats start to come out at the start of sunset and once they start there are thousands and thousands if not millions all flying out. It is an amazing thing to see, one that you will remember. Get a chair in front of the cave opening for the best view, although once the... More

Watching the bats actually flying out of the cave was pretty awe-inspiring. But I feel that the ride out there and the views of the mountain - Phnom Sampov - were more impressive. I found myself looking away often from the bats to take in the mountain scenery, which is pretty hard to come by in Cambodia. The main viewing... More

This becomes apparent at dusk, when millions--literally, millions--of small bats come bursting out of the mountain in several directions. They form a steady stream toward the countryside, where they spend the evening stuffing themselves with insects. In case... More

After going up the hill to see the killing cave and temples we went and watched the bats leave the cave. This was nice to finish the day. The bats departure from the cave lasts approximately 1 hour. Nice to watch nature do its thing. Recommend this activity.

We took tuk tuk to the cave,$10 round trip 20min each way. We got there around 5:10pm, bats already started flying out. It was quite interesting to see so many. Must be over thousands! As they were non stop flying out from the cave for at least over an hour! We climbed up to see a big Buddha head and... More
