It's a beautiful valley, but the energy has something extra. I loved it. The people were even nicer than other Chileans. I'd definitely go back one day if I could.

The Elqui Valley is well worth a visit. However, do not stop at Vicuna. This town is rather squalid and does not really capture the real nature of the upper valley. Places such a Montegrande and Pisco Elqui are very picturesque and have some history...More

It's all about water - everything grows in Chile, with WATER! In Canada we run the water while we brush our teeth!

We went for half a day ride at valle del elqui. It's very recommended to do it with a rented car so you can stop where ever you want for as much time as you want. We really enjoyed to eat at Pisco Elqui which...More

This is a very good tour for the history of Chile Pisco. The location is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the time.

Good luck with regards to your goal. It is possible to find a company that may help, but with your time constraints expect to pay a premium. Safe travels!
