Off to one side in the central square sits this 500 year old church. The front shows the straw used in construction of the brick work. A modest church inside lacking the lavish adornments of most churches it has a nice feel about it.

Located in the center of the town the church is well worth a visit. Look for the roof beams made from cactus and the old bell just inside the main entrance.
Set in the centre of the town, this mud church is the third oldest in Chile. You rarely see places like this anymore when you can stroll in and experience it all. It's very special. Entry is by donation on the wall.
It's a beautifull, very small colonial church. It has saint figures of the XV century and it has been recently renovated. It's in the center of San Pedro at a side of the plaza.
Mit die Renovierung hat sich verbessert die heilige Kirche..!! Look for the Cactus Wood and the hidden sincretism not only looking, you have to observe to discover the real meaning of his images or messages.. Discover the real atacamenian culture.. Be my guest.. Alexalltraks
Recently restored and worth going in to see the ceiling, if anything else. It's made of cactus wood. Simple, adobe style. A peaceful spot on the often busy town plaza.
