Xihai fantastic from so many places, but not for faint hearted or people scared of heights as the path stairs are often located on the side of cliffs.

It is very beautiful, and best of all, there are no tour groups there!!! Lots of downhill stairs and amazing viewpoints. Once you get to the bottom, I recommend taking the tram back to the top or suffering a miserable death trying to ascend out...More

Footpathes and staircases attached to the rocks with nothing underneath you for several hundred meters ... just breathtaking and a little frightening as well

it took us 2 hours to get to the bottom of the canyon, quite challenge walking down, but the view was breathtaking. took the cable car back to the Baiyun area

I would definitely store your large backpack. The shear volume of people in the tour groups makes the walk through the canyon very difficult and at times frustrating. We brought enough water and a picnic lunch in a daypack.

Entrance fees to Mt Huangshan is RMB 230 per person and this includes hiking in the Xihai grand canyon. Elderly above 65 years old gets free entrance to Huangshan. There are additional costs for visitors including elderly... More
