My wife and I went on the countryside cycling tour of Yangshuo. We cycled 60km of beautiful countryside taking in the surrounding villages, fields, and limestone karsts. Snowy is a great guide - very interesting, friendly, and personable. It was our favorite part of our Yangshuo trip and I would highly recommend Bike Asia Cycling Tours.

One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had was this cycling trip with Bike Asia. It was a 10 days cycling trip around Sri Lanka, and of course the view of the country was amazing but what was even more amazing was the well curated, cared planned itinerary with very enthusiastic staffs to assist the cyclists. Even though I fell on the second hour of cycling on the first day, I still power through the journey with this wonderful like minded group of international mixed of friends. I must say that Scott and Snowy did a great job of keeping the group in high spirit and wanting more. I would love to cycle with them again

The couple behind Bike Asia, Scott and Snowy, have been running cycling tours in China and elsewhere for a long time. And they're really good at it, which is why I've been on tours with them in China (Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Ningxia, Heilongjiang/Inner Mongolia) and Sri Lanka. Their approach is to have fun, be flexible, and bike to the best of your ability. These are not hard-core biking tours, banging away on eight-hour days to rack up distance, but, rather, hybrid tours that combine biking with other forms of relaxation (sightseeing, nice meals, and an occasional swim). Scott and Snowy strike the right balance between professional and relaxed, and remain calm in the face of adversity. The quality of the bikes and accomodation has been solid, and the cost of the tours has been reasonable. They can provide detailed descriptions of the individual tours.

a fantastic time, well organized, and lovely experience seeing the different landscapes of China. Went through both Guangxi and Ningxia with Scott and Snowy(Bike Asia Cycling Tours) on two separate occasions, and they have been the best vacations I've ever done. Can't wait to go on more adventures through new areas with them.

We have been on a few cycling trips with Snowy at Bike Asia and we keep coming back for more. Cycling is a great way to experience a country and we have seen a fantastic side of the Chinese countryside (and Laos too!) during unforgettable trips. It's not just the cycling that's great. The trip is very well organised, the food's great and aplenty, and we get to stay in interesting places. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time cycling in Sri Lanka with Bike Asia and looking forward to all my future cycling trips with this company. What really made this trip memorable was the people. Scott and Snowy were always there to offer support and encouragement and they went out of their way to make sure that we had a great ride.

Thanks for getting me in love with biking. I was hooked the minute our group descended into Yangshuo with the karst landscape unfolding before us. Scott and Snowy runs a great outfit working closely with knowledgeable local guides ever ready with emergency bike fixes and coffee breaks. Their tours are designed to be stress-free and focused 100% on the pleasure of long bike rides. Having been on three of them, first in Guangxi, then Christmas in Hainan and now Ningxia - I can't wait for my next adventure with this crew.

If you like biking and looking at the scenery of mountains and village life then come here. Our guide Yuan was very nice and helpful during our bike ride. She took us on an adventurous journey. It was a little bumpy at times but it was worth it for the amazing views.

Great company for a tour. We were taken round Yangshuo by Scott, who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and had done everything to make sure we had a great day. Very professional guide, highly recommended!

We had wonderful time biking though the country roads outside of Yangshuo. We traveled with another couple who have bikes at home and since we weren't as comfortable navigating on a bike, we rode tandem.Our guide, Xu Xiao Di (Peter) was fabulous. He was with us for our 3 days in Yangshuo and took excellent care of us. I originally found his contact information on Trip Advisor and it is one of the best tips I received, so I want to pass it on. His email is xuxiaodi1975@gmail.com. We biked for 2 hours, rafted for 2 hours, took a lunch break and biked again for 2 hours. The bike ride and bamboo rafting was exhilarating and a highlight of our trip.

Hi! I'm a bit skeptical of taking a trip with 3 kids. We are 3 adults with 3 kids. The 10 year old perhaps should be on a tandem just to keep him with the group (a bit impulsive), the 5 year old would need tandem because while she can cycle, she is inexperienced. And, the 3 year old is just learning. She rides a tandem at home with a seat and strap attached - but she rarely pedals and usually just adds weight, lol. Are there better options for carting kids? E-assist ? Is it not worth the hassle? Especially as we will be coming in July. Also... one adult HATES any kind of traffic so I considered the 10 mile route Shili Gallery. Should I just give up , or are there any ways to make this work? Many thanks!

Wow, that is one interesting group for travel! As I remember, we did have a little bit of traffic on our absolutely amazing bike trip. Unfortunately, my "kids" are all grown up, so I don't really know the answer. However, the people at Bike Asia, are SUPER nice, and i am sure, if you write to them with your questions, they will provide you with information. Have a wonderful trip. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. The route we took was flat and safe and beautiful, except for a bit at the beginning and end.

Are the bike tours in the Yangshou area quite challenging or ok for the average bike rider?

Not very challenging in terms of what we did. I am an unfit very occasional cyclist and I managed fine. It was all pretty flat but very beautiful. More challenging for me was cycling in and out of town as lots of cars.
