Longmen Grottoes is a must see!! It is far more accessible than some of the other grottoes, such as Mogao Grotto in Gansu, so don’t miss this opportunity if you are in Luoyang. There are many caves with desecrated or destroyed statues ( from anti-Buddhist...More

There are so many caves in Longmen. The most impressive one was the huge one whose model was the only female emperor in Chinese history, Wu Zetian. There is a river under the hill. The other two famous caves in China do not have this.

The Longmen Grottoes are amazing and well worth the visit. Then towards the end there is the big Buddha to check out. Amazing history.

Lot of ancient caves with Buddha Statues. It was a very scenic place with the river and the ancient caves. So many Buddhists visit this place. It was really a nice experience.

A must visit here. Amazing place and breath taking. Lots of stairs to climb so bring plenty of water for a hot day. The whole trip will take around 3 hours.
