You can wander the park for a great view of Birmingham without paying an admission. If you want to go up the Vulcan monument or see the museum, you will need to pay. The view from the top is better as you can see all 360 degrees around, but the city view is similar as below. The museum has great... More

Very beautiful and well-maintained park overlooking Birmingham. Worth a stop while in Birmingham. The view from the top of Vulcan's tower is fantastic.

This monument has a very small but interesting exhibit in the visitors center. The history of Birmingham's industry and related civil rights hallmarks are presented. It was a nice workout climbing the monument's stairs. It's about $6 per adult and I do think it's worth a stop.

It won't take long to visit this little museum and climb or ride up to the top of the tower. The small museum has an excellent display on the origins of Birmingham and how the local geology produced just the right conditions to create the local steel industry. The museum also has the history of the Vulcan statue. From the... More

Vulcan Park is one of the most interesting places in Alabama. It is well worth the money to go to the top of the statue and look across miles of beautiful hills, large buildings, and gorgeous homes.

The view was breathtaking as you gotten to the top,as well as getting up the stairs! The museum was very educational and it took me back in time and made me feel as if I were actually a worker back in the 1900s. The park was gorgeous I would always recommend a visit here. It might not be suitable for... More

There is so much history in this small museum! The city of Birmingham has a quiet treasure in its midst. Was very interesting to read how the city and the Vulcan came to be.

While visiting my brother in Birmingham, on a beautiful cool Sunday morning we headed to Vulcan Park. It was recently restored to its original state early in the last century, when production of steel was growing to its peak. Due to the discovery of the natural resources necessary for steel production cause the growth of Birmingham to an industrial power... More

Loved the museum and ride to the top of the tower. I was pretty creepy walking around the top with lots of vision to the ground. Vulcan is overpowering.
