This was one of my favourite places in Chengdu, and the walk around it was fabulous. The nature is gorgeous and the architecture and tombs were fantastic to walk around. Would recommend to anyone in the Chengdu/Leshan area, moreso than the giant Buddha itself!

Close to the Leshan Giant Buddha, there are two giant buddha worth visiting though they were built a few decades ago.

Visited this on the way to Leshan Buddha. Follow the arrows if you don't read Chinese. Good directional arrows with some English words. Lot of Buddhist cultural history in short 2 hours. Take your time and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

We visited the Oriental Buddha Capital just before seeing Leshan Giant Buddha. We actually ended up seeing it by mistake after buying the combo ticket and not knowing what it was. Upon entering we were shocked at how beautiful the park was and how few...More

In retrospect I wish we would've spent more time here rather than queueing for the Giant Buddha. The park is really peaceful and the statues are well worth seeing. As students in a Chinese university we got the park and the Giant Buddha for a...More
