May be it would have been worth hiring a guide to learn more because the site is only a place for vendors, restaurants, souvenir shops heading the arrival of tourists. But there are many real Uighur style restaurants and we had good food there. It...More

We didn't get to taste any fresh grapes as it wasn't the harvesting season yet. It was very hot during our visit in early June (summer). The temperature was hovering around 40 degrees celsius, so visiting the Grape Valley was a great way to escape...More

The tour bus is obliged to spend two hours so some local minority ethnic group folks can do folk dancing and sell you grapes. I am sure the goal (like several other spots in this area) is to show how minorities live happily under the...More

We went there in the afternoon and it was the hottest day of the month. Above 40 degrees centigrade. We avoided all the Chinese tourists. Our host, Mr Omar brought us to his vineyard and home. He offered us fresh grapes and raisins.
