Foreigner's Street can be discovered casually during the day while waiting for the place to transform at night. There are shops selling locally made artifacts and nice little cafes. At night, it was buzzing with live performances from Local artists that you can watch.

This foreigner street is located in Dali Ancient Town. A lot of shops selling so many things and the price is not so expensive. Even though it states foreigner street, actually we cannot see any foreigners except us from Singapore.

A must for the variety of restaurants and shops, as well as for the architecture of many of the older buildings. Cannot visit Dali Old Town without walking around Foreigner Street.

Buzzing with a variety of shops and shoppers in a pleasantly laid-back town nestling in the sight of the foothills of the Himalayas. A variety of places to eat, clothes, food and gifts to buy, drum shops..... slightly hippy/backpacker feel, with young-ageless vibe.

A visit to Dali Old Town is worthwhile since it is less crowded than Lijiang. Still, much of what one experiences in Old Dali is geared towards visitors, not locals. One place not to be missed is the Catholic Church is a pleasant mixture of Chinese and Western styles

Overall this place was entertaining enough but definitely a tourist trap. It felt like deja vu from one street to the next because the stores sold virtually the exact same things and in the same sequence. I did try their rose pedal pastries, which i thought was interesting and not half bad. This place felt like a lot of other... More

Part of Dali Gucheng, the Foreigner street is only a place to grab some non-local food in the old town. The restaurants there can sell you a pizza and beer if that's what you're up for, but other than that, it's still pretty local in every other aspect. Vendors on this street still sell some of the same items you'll... More

As the name says, it is a tourist spot. There are lots of shops to souvenirs of things that were available. You have to bargain and shop around. Really enjoy the town and the people.

We came once in the afternoon and once at night. There are shops selling souvenirs, scarfs and nice little cafes with live music acts by local artists. It's great for people watching. We also visited an old Catholic Church and a street where locals live nearby. At night, it was buzzing with pubs with live performances that you can watch... More
