I was pleasantly surprised by this place, which I must admit I would never have visited were it not included in my Dubrovnik card. This is the house where one of Croatia's finest artists lived and did much of his work and as such is...More

A glimpse into the life of one of Croatia's leading artists. A number of his works are on display here. The smartphone audio guide is useful too.

We knew nothing about this artist before we came here but the museum was great! As a group of people with varying interest in art we all enjoyed it. It really gave good context to the paintings and despite being a smaller museum was very...More

My wife and I both enjoyed viewing Mr. Bukovac's works spread throughout the house. The house held a great deal of charm.

Make sure you get the wifi code and audio guide otherwise you'll be in and out very quickly. Best bit for me was the roomful of paintings on the top floor. As you often find with birthplaces the really good art isn't here, it's in...More

Second time here and in between we found out a bit more about the artist. Even if you don’t like art the house is worth a visit for the painted walls. Fascinating personality and a talented artist. Don’t miss it! Also, it is included with...More

I thought that this house would be boring but once there it was a very charming Croation house, with lots of Character.

Such an interesting place with many of his paintings which were so well displayed. The house is much larger than you think and on several levels and the murals are a surprise. I was very impressed with the studio which had a large window and...More

We stumbled across this amazing museum and were the only people in there for awhile. Anyone interested in art or history would love this place. We certainly did.

We had never heard of this artist, but picked up about the house/exhibition from a tour brochure. In Cavtat, we asked the way to the house and everyone knew where it was - up one of the side paths from the main promenade. If you...More

Hi Albert - there are a couple of restaurants serving Asian food as part of their menu, Kamen Mali and Konoba Toranj, but we didn't see any Chinese restaurants. Dubrovnik might be a better option - 30 mins on bus from... More
