Renting a boat or going over on the boat taxi to these stunning islands is a must if you are on Hvar. We loved swimming and relaxing but there are some wonderful beach bars as well, with excellent food and DJ's providing a chilled vibe. A must x

Well the place is beautiful, away from crowd, little bit hike but still nothing as special that you can't miss kinda place. Can be visited via boat if you are feeling bored in the day, else if short on time can be given a miss as well

We only went to Palmizana beach which was amazing, but there are many other places that we would have wanted to visit (next time)

Yuck. If you want to go to a marine jam packed with yachts and crappy euro music, go here. It can be convenient to get to Hvar town, there are boats every half hour. But during the day you can wait 2 hours for a boat, as everyone is sleeping off hangovers until late in the afternoon.

The Pakelin islands, the largest of which is St Klement are a small group of islands only a short boat trip from Hvar with several good safe anchorages suitable for almost any weather conditions. We sailed all round these islands stopping off for a swim/snorkel in several places & picked up a buoy overnight in O.Vinogradse (anchoring no longer allowed).... More

We didn't have time to visit any of the other Pakleni Islands besides Sveti Klement/Palmizana. However, the beaches, relative peacefulness and nature beauty here is definitely worth a visit if you are spending any time on Hvar. It was one of the highlights of our 3 day visit to Hvar.

Good thing is that no one can build on thee small islands. They are great for day trip by boat. St Clement is my favorite, although it is a bit further from town Hvar, so boat with stronger engine is needed. Island is in shape of 8, and near most narrow part is a good place to leave a boat.... Croatia in particular is highly underrated place to visit in Europe. I was lucky enough to visit Croatia and i really enjoyed exploring the country. Hvar Islands and the Pakleni islands is a must visit. You get to Hvar from Split through the ferry and then you can travel to Pakleni using the Speed Boat. It was just an awesome... More
