Bar at the top is reasonably priced! Views are excellent from the top. Take water as it is a little bit of a climb especially in the hot weather.

I would say this is the best thing to do in Hvar. The walk only takes about 25minutes. We went in the busiest time of the day, during the busiest time of year. A group of 40 of us walked up and we still didn't...More

Nice, easy 15 min trip up. There are many good views of Hvar town and the islands from the trail and the top. Didn't go inside, as the 40 Kuna ticket price is justified with a better view.

We walked up through the amazing landscaped hills covered with huge agave plants and various flowers. The fortress is very impressive from on top or below. Well worth the effort and the 40 kuna entry. There is a road if the hike is too much.

This place is THE place to be for views of the entire Hvar city. A bit of a hike to get there, plus a small entrance fee as well, but views are well worth the price you pay.

It takes some time to get there but the view is spectacular, I went there as a kid and still love it now, a great place to take a photo of the city and the surrounding area!

It was a hot day but we really enjoyed the zigzagging walk up to the fortress. The views really are spectacular at the top (plus there was a lovely breeze to help us to cool off!). I would have liked to learn a bit more...More

Great views over Hvar. Good path up if a bit steep. Anyone of average mobility can get up there and there is a road to drive up if need be. Recommended before coming down into Hvar to eat and drink.

There is not much to see inside the fortress but the views and scenery from the fortress and the walk up are beautiful. It is a bit of a hike and make sure you read the signs bear the paths on the hill as there...More

We took a ferry to Stari Grad and then a bus from the ferry terminal to Hvar. There are catamarans from Split to Hvar but costly. Make sure you have the bus timing and ferry timings right. Only one bus will leave from Hvar to...More

It's actually set up really well. You simply go down to the ferry terminal and purchase a ticket. I can't remember the exact price, but Split to Hvar is around $15-$20. Then it's another ferry to get to Korcula. The... More

You could easily do it in 1/2 a day. I would say 3 hours would be enough and it would allow you to explore more. Sunsets are beautiful for the fortress and I think the early morning would give great light for photos. Enjoy... More
