In the central part of Croatian Adriatic, near where the Sibenik and Zadar islands meet, is a distinctive and, in many ways, special group of islands called Kornati. Due to their magnificent landscape beauty, interesting geomorphology, the great indentation of the coastline and wealth of living marine ecosystems, the majority of the sea area of the Kornati archipelago was proclaimed a national park in 1980. It includes a total of 89 islands, islets and crags, with approx. 238 km of coastline.

A superb spot for sailing, but don't be late if you want a buoy

The trip is long and on the whole the sights are not that spectacular to begin with, a lot of sea, some islands. The wonder wears off after 3 hours. If you are prone to nausea better spend your day doing something else. The first stop, the nature park Telascica, is beautiful, features a salt lake where you can take... More

The NP Kornati itself is a beautiful set of islands but we only sailed past them. I am reviewing the tour boat company (Barba Ive) we took that isn't listed on here independently. We purchased the excursion package and were promised a certain set of things in a sequence of events. Aperitif and sandwich breakfast-2.5hr guided boat tour of historic... More

There are plenty of tourist boats from Muster that offer a joy day in the sea, but the planning is terrible. The food offered on board is scarce and mediocre. So, if you wanna enjoy the experience without being trapped for 5 hours on a slow ship with other 90 tourists, look for a private boat.

Even if the winds are against you (or are switched off), the archipelago is a sweet place to sail through. Once you have paid your entrance ticket, you can moor at any official buoy (full list of locations on the Kornati Park website) AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PATRONISE THE RESTAURANTS: their claims on the official buoys are illegal. Most... More

We visited the Kornati National Park on a boat trip from Bibinje. The boat (Barba Ive) started its journey in Zadar and by the time it got to Bibinje it was already full meaning that we, and the majority of other passengers from Bibinje and the next stop, had to stand for the three hour journey to the National Park.... Sailing in Kornati Islands is amazing for several reasons. The scenes you see, the wind, the bays and the overall experience in a relatively short peace of sea. If you buy the entrance in advance you save a lot. I would recommend to stop at Levrnaka bay and then climb up on the hill (follow indications). A terrific view is... More

Our. Family of four had a great day visiting the Kornati Islands from Zadar. The hosts on the Plava Laguna were friendly, welcoming and entertaining. We loved the cliff jumping and hiking among the ruins. The lunch at the captains house was fulfilling and a pleasant location to take a break from the water. From the fresh fish, home made... More

These trips are rip off as a whole , the stalls along the harbour and around Zardar old town all tell you the same thing, included juices, wine, water... This is included... More

So we booked a tour with Plava laguna..and we asked to pay a reservation directly on the bank account instead of via PayPal. However, Branko has never sent us a bank account, although, he promised to do so. We even spoke on the phone with him 2 days before the trip. When we arrived, he told us he didn't have... More
