This place is truly magnificent. I have seen quite a bit of our world and this place is unique. This is why it has been a unesco natural listed site for over 40 years. The park is very well maintained, easy walking, well signposted, not too expensive for entry and the scenery is spectacular. Definitely visit. Magnificent natural wonder.

The Cascades waterfalls (i.e. big waterfall) at Plitvice Lakes National Park offers a breathtaking view. Visitors can either be dropped off by shuttle, then walk down the series of switchbacks to the base of the big waterfall below OR take a ferry from the entrance near the start of the lower lakes and walk down to the big waterfall. The... More

viewing it from distance or walking over them, or standing at the bottom of the falls is beautiful experience. Visit them over spring while water level is high

The Plitvice Lakes and its waterfalls are what I imagine paradise would look like. Definitely worth the admission fees and the hike. The Cascades themselves are nothing short of breathtaking.

We visited on Apr. 4/17 as part of a Collette Vacations tour. It was a beautiful, warm day and there were no crowds at all. We had the place almost to ourselves. This area is near entrance 1 and one of the higher falls.

In April the crowds are less and it can be a bit cool but still quite temperate. Unique, gorgeous scenery. In all, a memorable experience.

This is near the lowest area we walked before climbing back out. the waterfalls are many and each is an individual, but the tallest ones are many stories up. Some trails go up to the top, if you are so inclined. The waters were clear and seemed clean. the crowds were building at the base of the falls, and in... More

Seeing this waterfall almost as soon as you enter the park excited us to walk even further than we planned. The walk is beautiful, a bit wet at time because of the rainfall, and you can decide for yourself how hard oyu want to make it on yourself. Climbing to the top of this waterfall was fun to do, also... More
