It is a UNESCO protected site and fore a good reason. Great arhitecture and mosaic art. If you are in Istria its a must see. The church itself is a peacefull place just to sit, relax and enjoy and there is no fee for entering the church.

Difficult to find the entrance but when we finally found it, it was a great visit. Floor mosaics, carvings from the old bishop's palace, church altar and decorations, views from the bell tower and old archaeological ruins, lots to see and definitely good value for money.

The Basilica is well worth a visit, particularly if ancient Roman antiquities are your thing. The well preserved mosaics are wonderful

It's a must...you really feel the past here. The mosaics are still well conserved. This is one of the most old churches in the world.

This church is characterized by an extremely well-preserved mosaics. You can see it inside the church or outside the antique floor mosaics. Therefore, Porec and called Mosaic city.

Either just to have a look at the basilica, on in the summertime also attend to some concerts. Some really great acoustic concerts I have been able to enjoy there.

Did not know the historical importance of this sight until we toured it. On a back street. Beautiful building and interesting stories. Climbed the bell tour for great views of the city.

What can we say about a 4th century basilica? It is a must. There is so much to see. You follow the indications and you will be able to visit it all. Better if you hire a guide or stay not far from one. You'll learn more about the history of the basilica.

The Basilica is easy to find in the old town and certainly worth a visit. Dating from the early days of christianity it dates back many centuries, having been refurbished on the original site several times. the brochure given with admittance is numbered to give you alogical tour of the Basilica wothout missing anything. The Camponile is worth the climb... More
