As we wandered into the heart of Trogir, we fought our way through the crowds to the central square. The church on one side dominated the square, with the town offices and a plethora of cafes sprawling over most of the square, there wasn't really...More

The square is relaxed with a venetian feel to it. Great place to sit with a coffee or beer and people watch.

This is really beautiful and worth the walk while in Trogir. If you elect to travel in a shoulder season, it isn't quite as crowded.

The problem with places like this is that they are busy which rather detracts from the historical atmosphere which is the reason to visit then sadly!

Very busy little square which often has live music at night. Lots of tours/guides so can be difficult to move around but a must see

There are alot of restaurants around this square wich makes it very popular among tourists. I would recommend eating in of the smaller streets but not on the square itself.

I can't put my finger on something being special about this place or any other place in Trogir for that matter, it's just beautiful. There's a king of mystical feeling which has much to do, I guess, with the profound beauty of the place combined...More

We stopped in Trogir at the end of our cruise with Croatia a-la Carte in July 2015, it is an absolutely beautiful town with so much character and so much to see.

Starting on the outskirts, one can follow many paths to reach this beautiful square, take a camera and comfortable shoes plus always carry water.

Trogir is about 10 minutes away from Split airport, by bus (number 37). Buses are every 20 min. from main road outside airport. Trogir is small so once there it will only be a 5-10min walk to any of the hotels.
