A lovely park with well-designed examples of various South American ecosystems and animals. The park walkways pass through a variety of ecosystems with good signage (Spanish, Quichua - an Inca language, and English). Although it does have animals in captivity, the animals have more space than a typical zoo, and the fences are built to look like mangrove roots, so... More

This place is FREE! I remember a couple of years ago there was an entry fee, since its free now, the place is run down, dirty, and needs lots of TLC to bring it back to it's grandeur. Hope the city takes it over and hires the necessary personnel to bring back this beautiful place.

It's a very nice place to go to. For a couple of hours , the entrance is free. Take spray anti mosquito and sun protector. Lots of animals to see and it's a nice historical place to visit , perfect with children.

Once you enter, the birds are beautifully and very colorful. The monkeys were very playful and fun to watch. Loved the well cared for trails. The place is extremely clean (a rarity here in Ecuador). The preserved bank and homes. From the 1800s were interesting. All the gardens were very beautiful and cared for.

In you´re stuck in Guayaquil it´s a way to pass some time - take a look at the jungle setting and a few animals and birds. The building was pretty tacky.

We went by taxi from Las Penas to here, $4. The entrance is free. You can see different kinds of birds, crocodile, turtles and all other kind of animals in a green enviroment. The buildings were a little bit disappointing.

From las penas it is 4 dollar to this park. We went on a wednesday, there was no entrance fee. The park itself is very clean and well taken care of. There are enough toilets and waterpoints available, you can even get something small to eat at the foodcourt. The animals are nice to see but not very special, the... More

Perfect place to get a feel for how Guayaquil must have felt for our forefathers visiting the city at the beginning of the last Century.

Parque Historico Guayaquil isn't only a small peace of land with some old fashioned houses. The museum consists of three parts exploring: animals living in the magrove forests that surrounds Guayaquil, historical buildings and examples of agricultural developmenst in Ecuador. A museum or place worth to visit

My visit to the historic park was beautiful because I was able to know a lifestyle and history beyond the limits of the current city. It is an ideal site for ecological and archaeological tourism. Where we can enter in the lush green of the forest and walk along a wooden path that crosses it. The objective of its creation... More
