Guayaquil statuary impressed me. I loved the very European feel of the statutes in the parks. But this one is very impressive because it was built right on the Malecon and it stands out. A tribute to Ecuadorian history.

beautiful statues in a beautiful part of Guayaquil. There is much to see in this part of town. Once should grab a nearby hotel an spend about 2-3 days minimum.

This is a nice landmark along the Malecon (the river board walk) in Guayaquil. The whole board walk is really charming and this location also has the words Guayaquil spelled out in bright, colorful letters which is a nice picture spot.

This is a popular meeting place for Guayaquil natives. The word GUAYAQUIL is spelled out in colorful fiberglass letters just in from of the monument on the Malecon 2000 at the start of Blvd 9 de October.

Closed to the old buildings in downtown Guayaquil, Malecon 2000, the Mayor office, domestic and international banks in the area. Selfies come out great with the colorful and huge GUAYAQUIL sign.

The Hemiciclo de la Rotunda is a cool monument/sculpture. It's more impressive live than in photos, though if you have seen a photo, you've basically seen the entirety of the attraction. Not sure I'd suggest going out of your way just to see it, however...More

This is a beautiful sculpture right by a community park. It is well lit at night and is a gathering place for locals.

Hemiciclo de la Rotonda has a great statue of Simon Bolivar. Worth checking out if you know the history.
