Some friends took us up to Lagunas de Ozogoche and in my entire life I have never felt so at peace as when I was there. The lakes are virtually untouched by development. The area is perfect for photo opportunities, and if you are a fan of nature you will appreciate the beauty around you. It is definitely off the... More

We walked down to Laguna verde and from there to Laguna negra. It was very beautiful. The water was not cold as I expected, well I just put the hands in! The surroundings are marvellous. Closed by is a village. You see real Sierra-life, children playing, riding horses, señoras with their typical cloths, very coloured also men with their typical... More

A place where you can simply sit around a nice crispy bon fire and enjoy the beauty of the landscape! you are going to need some warm clothing since it is located in the Paramo and it gets very cold at night.

This was our second visit to Lagunas. We took our friends to enjoy this beautiful surroundings. Lot of things changed within 3 years . The place become a little bit more touristic. You can get lunch/dinner - fresh trout from a little restaurant. It's just next to the "entrance" to the Lagunas . We came by car and we we... More

Breath takingly beautiful. And not just because you are at altitude. The community next to the lakes entrance are literally dirt poor. Any assistance you can give them purchasing from the tienda or the like would be much appreciated. Oh and there is the most tame gorgeous pig tethered with his papa not far from the car park. He rolls... More

We came from Guamote in a private car. The views during the ride were tremendous. When we arrived at the little village near the lakes, we parked near a little place at the right side of the road were you can eat trout, and only trout for just a few dollars. The wellcoming was very warm. Ask someone there to... More

The lakes are located at the beginning of the park , are easily walkable but we did not find any spectacular view points . They are lakes , in a flat surrounding without any specific characteristics . We found the lakes in the Cajas National Park more interesting . Maybe it was the guide ???

Quite beautiful place to visit. All surrounded by Nature you'll enjoy the view, the short walk to the lakes. You'll need to wear some warm clothes, and if you have it, a pair of rubber boots to cross the thin layers of mood. This attraction it's really cheap. If you'd like you could take some chips or camp food, or... More
