After so many statues of Alexander, good to see the dad!

The best way to enjoy this dynamic statue is sitting at the terrace of the Grne restaurant, just north of Sirok Sarak street.

The Central plaza of Bitola near the Caat Kula park. Another of the many statues of Philip which can be found all over Macedonia. A little tacky and overdone.

This is an attractive rather recent landmark, in the center of town. If you were not going to be going past it, I would not recommend a special trip to see it. I believe it holds more significance for the locals than tourist appeal. I would like to see the square better taken care of.

It's an ok statue, nothing special. Worth visiting for a photo or two. It's at the end of the Main Street near the mosque.

The statue is located in the Magnolia Square, in downtown of Bitola. In the area there are other attractions of the town: Clock Tower, the Yeni Mosque and one edge of the pedestrian Širok Sokak Street. Nearby there is a nice fountain, shield shape. Around the fountain there are some other shields and spears. The locals told me that the... More

Bitola is a quiet romantic place to remember the old time of the Balkan Renaissance - the nostalgia of old houses gives the town specific atmosphere.

The country has a thing for its statues, and this example is among the best. Its site is in the very heart of Bitola, as you'd expect, and is worth of a few minutes with the camera. Alternatively, have a coffee (or a beer) and simply watch the world go by this monument.

The monument is in the middle of Magnolia square with the clock tower nearby. One of many statues in the country. Fountains were not working. This is the busiest area of Bitola which links to Shirok Sokok.

It was awesome - where have you walked in ruins that are still be excavated? You can do it here. A fun visit
