This church is so precious and full of history! Do not miss it, take time to enjoy and watch the frescoes, some which are unique in the world.

A beautiful church that's worth the entry fee to see the church friezes but also interesting for the buildings history and its different purposes and uses. Additionally there are 3 tortoises in the garden which was an odd but pleasant surprise!

An authentic, old stone building, with a small garden, pretty well perserved inside. It is a place that should be visited in a city tour.

Ohrid is really so full of various religious monuments, but Church of Saint Sophia is definitely one of the biggest ones in the city. Surrounded with many restaurants and easy to find, just a short walk off the main shopping/parking area.

I 'v never seen a church interior with so many fresoes. It was stunning and located in nice grounds complete with cat and tortoise. Less impressed with double the admission price for foreigners. I might suggest this charging policy for Westminster abbey and St Pauls...More

Saint Sophia is a beautiful church at a very nice spot of Ohrid but the inside is not something that someone should not miss.

Indeed it can be visited. Taking pictures is officially not allowed, but you have a good chance to succeed in it all the same, since normally there is only one guardian, the one that sell the tickets i the ticket booth. Good... More
