For anyone who is backpacking thru central america this is a must. Check out the view of the pools. wade into the caves, jump from the bridge and swim in the nautral pools. I really recommend staying at the Hostel Utopia if you want something bit different than the other places around.

I took a tour at the hostel I was staying at. It was Q.350 but was definitely worth the pay. This was the tour: First, the bus picks you up at 7am, takes 2.5 hours to get to Laquin, then you take a 45min pick-up truck ride to semuc, and then you trek to this lookout where you get to... More

its been said before, this place is amazing! my recommendation for the tour is to see Adolfo in town, operating out of a little green building on the road that leads to el retiro, but still in town. at 150q it was cheaper than the hostels and his tour seemed to go for much longer than all the groups around... Many better places than Semuc! Since the goverment lost control over the place, you shouldn't go anymore. The people are not friendly at all. I'm really sorry, but 10 hours travelling to see people like this? We were really afraid as they people were drunk and not friendly. Why there is no police around? If you really want to go... More

Most beautiful place i have ever been! If you visit the area this is a must go, just make sure you book a good 4 hours at the venue as you'll want to spend some time in the pools.

Don't go and visit this place, they are just behind your money. We have stayed two days in Semuc Champey to take photos and videos with a camera and a drone. That is actually my hobby and I love to share photos and videos about Guatemala. Even I'm not from Guatemala, I love to make this beautiful country known in... More

We stayed at Zepher Lodge where you can book a tour bit dont go through them. Take a short walk into town and book with Adolfo. We were advised to do this when by some other that did Adolfos tour and raved about it. We know why...he is awesome and takes you to extra spots amd he charges less!!! The... More

Yes it's beautiful but a 10 hour bus ride from Antigua and then an 11 hour bus ride out to get to Flores was not worth it for one day, which is all you need, if that. It's beautiful but it's very similar to Laos, if you've been there, so it was redundant and not worth the 21 hour bus... More

This little piece of paradise is simple amazing. You really have to see it for yourself as photos don't do it justice. You will be surrounded by girls selling chocolate 3/ 5 Q has you enter. Buy some it's great. Climb up the mirador first before you go to the pools. It is a good climb up but worth it.... More
