The property is unique to Roatan. Just off the main road to a private beach area. This area is part of the Roatan Marine Park preserve. The reef system parallels the white sand beach of Sandy Bay The closiest swim to a underwater ecologial paradise teaming with tropical fish and corals. This area is a quiet tranquil area of Roatan without high end hotels and condos but close to the tourist meccas.

Sandy Bay Beach offers a quiet, calm alternative to the frenetic hordes of Cruise Shippers and Resort Goers at West Bay and the more laid-back but still busy West End. There is a big resort with activities (Anthony's Key) at one end but they largely...More

We went here for snorkeling and the reef fish are plentiful but the beach itself is not the best for swimming.

One of the best beaches on the island. Has boutique resorts. Low key, not as crowded. Reef is a swim 200 meters away with some of the best fish. Restaurants on the beach.

This beach is on the northern side of the island and is part of a marine park. The water is clear and full of life. It's very quiet and it feels you are on your own private island. There are many docks that are great...More

The beach is smallish, but the water is clear and full of life. Most outfits on this side of the island have their own docks and boats and can take you diving on the reef.

It's very quiet, almost private like. The beach is not like the sandy beach of west bay. I don't mind the sea grass, but you can snorkle and see amazing sealife here.

Had a great time here on our Honeymoon. Snorkeling was amazing and so was the kayaking out front at the private dock. We stayed in the guest house next to the main house. We got so much good information from Sandra and Al and they...More

The reef is about 100 yards off shore all along Sandy Bay. You should be able to swim out to the reef no matter where you are staying. Any where along the reef will be good for snorkling. In many places the water is only... More
