This is one of the important religious destinations for christians. It's a World Heritage center and is preserved very well. I would suggest to visit this place. As it is present in Old Goa city.

Very impressive interior with the feel of a large cathedral. We arrived during the middle of a service and even with tourists milling about outside, the inside was peaceful. But hot!

If you are staying at the northern part of Goa, the route to Basilica is very beautiful and picturesque. We get to witness the old Portuguese houses en-route. There is parking available near the Basilica and one advice, hire a guide who is available inside. They charge about Rs.100 and take about 20 mins to explain. This gives you a... More

Bang across the Se cathedral lies the Basilica. It has architectural appeal as well as a quaint place to visit. There is a small exhibition/show depicting the life of Jesus. Should be visited on a less crowded day to appreciate the calming effects of the place.

Very serene and nice church. Well maintained. It also has maintained the body of St. Xavier which is visible to the visitors -lying in a coffin. The wall architecture is great and the property is well maintained.

Loved the entire area of Old Goa and the Basilica of Bom Jesus was definitely a highlight. It is fairly well-maintained and wasn't very busy at the time we went to visit. The garden and tress around were all very beautiful.
