Really beautiful and historically significant church. Maintained well (although pigeons were flying in and out and will eventually cause damage). There was lots of crowding around the crypt of St Francis and there wasn't much crowd control.

The church is a visual treat, the gigantic structure, the architecture everything is brilliant. It is open all day. You can get guides who will explain things very well.

If you have visited Goa and not visited this church, youve missed the spirit of Goa. It is a symbol of the portuguese rule in Goa. It bears the mortal remains of St. Francis Xaviers whose body hasnt decomposed for 500 years.

This church marks the beginning of Christianity in India. Must visit it's right opposite to the white church where Singham shooting took place. Place where jaykant shikhare gets arrested. It's far away from the usual places you may visit it if you are touring Panjim....More

A holy place with dirty sorrounding. I wish we had such a holy place in our place. Felt bad how the have maintained. World wide people visit there just to have a blessed time or day. But they haven't maintained the area cleanly.

A must visit place in Goa to ensure you get a taste of Goan heritage. A bit crowded in the afternoons especially on weekends. So try avoid it. Parking nearby could be an issue

Definite stop for everyone who visits Goa. This defines the rich architectural heritage our country has. Blown away by amazing art and sculptures.

Hi, there's no entrance charge for the church but mind the dress code - no shorts and sleeveless clothes for the guys or girls. The main Feast happens on 3 Dec every year with a 10 novena preceding it but nothing I'm aware... More
