Given its on the way to top station, you'll no doubt see it. Worth a trip, especially if you're on a motorbike!

the road to the dam is a bit dangerous if you do it by walking The dam itself is impressive and powerful and there are a lot of monkeys along the way

A very simple dam with good view points. Boating is available in the water. Horse riding and small shops will keep you entertained. Good for a short family getaway.

a typical scene of dam..located on the way to Top station so easily accessible..boating facility is available...since Kundala dam is closed due to road work, this has more crowd..

mattupetty dam is a wonderful place and it"s nature is amazing . Location was perfect for us thought well outside the town as it was peaceful and green, unlike the noisy and crowded town.

Though nestled between some lovely hills, the place is highly crowded with lots of commercial activity which was a put off for me. Also there was not much water when we went there. Can try speed boat ride if you are the adrenalin junkie

Boating charges are 500/- for 15 minutes. I would suggest to go for boating at the Echo Point than at the first boating point, since that place looks more serene..
