Was told by multiple sources last week that access to the peak is completely closed. Not sure if it will be opened after monsoon season

This is one of highest peaks in southern India and looks really big, lush green trees, an excellent hilly view of entire Munnar villae from the top, Misty, Cloudy spot which one should not miss if he/she is visiting Munnar.

This peak is located inside the Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park but going to the peak is forbidden. This is the highest peak in south India and at best you can capture a view.

The Kerala govt has forbidden tourists from trekking to the peak of the mountain. You only go up to a specific view point. Getting the additional persission from forest dept to go beyong the restricted point is next to impossible. They are shooing away the trekkers and tourists by doing this. nonsense. screw the kerala govt.
