As part of your entry fee R500 to the palace you can also trek up to the fort, it's in an even more dilapidated state than the palace. It's only going to get worse. Loads of monkeys although not aggressive (to us).

This place is combined ticket with palace entrance (500rp) it is now private property and there is no rehabilitation in progress even if prices have been increased a lot. So you will find abandoned fort but it is quite worth it. Lots of different buildings,...More

The fort is up above the palace and its worth going early before it gets too hot. We enjoyed exploring the fort which is overgrown in many places but has lots of buildings to explore. Plus there are great views over Bundi!

It is a short and somewhat steep climb from the palace to the fort. The fort itself is overgrown by jungle and gives you a bit of an explorer feeling. The building and it's surroundings are inhabited by dozens of monkeys which are not agressive...More

taragarh fort one of the best fort of hadoti region having awesome Architecture and massive structure. you can see a perfect view of Bundi city from the top of the fort.and in the night the fort looking awesome.

Its a private property and not government. So it may open. Confirm on this number too (+91 747 2442191- local guest house near the fort)
